5 Occasions (Excuses) to Throw a Party for Friends

Let’s face it, we love to have fun. There’s something innate about having our best buds come over for a celebration to enjoy food, drinks, conversations and other entertaining activities. If you feel like you haven’t gotten together with your friends in awhile or you need a break in your every day routine, then check out these occasions and excuses to throw a party for your friends.

There are so many opportunities throughout the year to throw a party. Some occasions where people like throwing parties include the birthdays of your family members and friends, Christmas, New Years, Fourth of July, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Labor Day.  If there is no holiday or birthday coming up, then check out some of the following reasons to throw a party:

1. Because it’s the weekend.  Everyone looks forward to a weekend when there is a party scheduled.  This is something worth celebrating, especially when there is nothing else going on that weekend. If people are busy during the evening, try having a Saturday or Sunday afternoon get together.

2. Because it’s a “Holiday”. Everyone knows about popular holidays like Christmas and New Years, but there are also a lot of other holidays that people don’t know about. They are not that popular, but these will give you reasons enough to host your party. Some interesting examples include Mother Goose Day, National Ice Cream Day, Brothers and Sisters Day, National Donut Day and many more. Would it be fun to let your friends know about these enjoyable and bizarre holidays?

3. Because there is something interesting on TV. There’s something exciting about watching live TV coverage on some important games like football, basketball, boxing and more. Oscar’s Night is also something to look out for. The finale of your favorite TV show or the release of a new movie are other popular reasons to gather friends together. Throw in some food and drinks and you will have yourself a fun party.

4. Because You Finished A Project.  You definitely deserve a toast with friends after finishing a big project or graduated from school. This should be reason enough to gather friends for a celebration.

5. Because There’s Something New. When you welcome something, like buying a new car, house, or baby, this definitely calls for a celebration. Let everyone know about it. Big changes in your life are a good reason to party. Graduations, retirement, bridal showers and baby showers are popular events that people love to celebrate.

When it comes to partying, there are many reasons for you to throw a party. Just pick a reason and a party theme and invite all your friends, even if the reason is that you haven’t seen everyone in awhile and just want to get together.
