Crafts for Kids Best During Fall/Autumn

Crafting provides bonding moments and special mementos from your child. Come fall and autumn, arts and crafts can be a very good indoor activity where the two of you can spend bonding time together while being safe indoors and without spending much.

Similar to other craft activities, remember that safety should always be in mind and that everyone should practice caution when dealing with scissors and other sharp crafting tool. Listed below are some activities that you can do with your kids.

-A basket designed with fall leaves will make for a good centerpiece. You can include fall themed items and colors in it. This can make a great gift for someone as well.

-Come Halloween, everyone loves pumpkin decorating contests. For each group, have a theme for the pumpkin they will decorate. Thinking about sporty pumpkins? Or scary pumpkins? Or animal pumpkins? Let their imagination run wild and you can truly see how creative they can be.

-Different colored tissue paper can make for good fall leaves that your children can recreate fall scenes by pasting them in cardboards.

-Bookmarks that show fall and autumn scenes are also very useful and will come in handy so you can remember your fall bonding moments together. These bookmarks can be printed on a color printer and can involve either artwork or photographs.

-Fall leaves door hanger – Door hangers that welcome guests can welcome the coming of fall as well. Have your kids enjoy decorating door hangers with drawings of falling leaves. This can be easily made using ordinary door hangers and crayons. It is a practical way to show off your child’s creative talent as well to everyone who will come visit your place.

-Another practical decoration is a fall leaf decorated placemat. Make the placemat a conversational piece as well with friends and families as you dine at the table. Add to that a fall leaf coaster and you can definitely feel the fall season instantly inside your dining room.

-Straw hats can be made into a scarecrow. Explore your kid’s imagination as they come up with different scarecrow styles and have even more fun as you make them create an impromptu story from the scarecrows they have created.

These crafts are truly creative yet practical at the same time. You can use them on your living room, in the dining area, or give them away as souvenirs or favors during parties such as a fall wedding favors for weddings. If there is no limit to creativity, then there is also no limit to the uses of these crafts. But most importantly, remember that these bonding moments with your child will make these crafts even more special and memorable.
