Travel Wedding Favors

Travel is now more affordable than it use to be and enjoyed by more people. As couples are constantly thinking of ways to make their wedding special, more and more are willing to save up and spend their money on destination weddings. If you are planning to have a destination wedding, complete the experience by giving travel or destination favors. Here are some suggestions for a truly unique wedding experience.

Keychains – Normally given as souvenirs, have your guests have a wedding favor and travel souvenir in one. With the image or logo symbolizing your destination, you can have your initials etched on the other side of the keychain. This is something your guests can truly use.

Luggage tags – Very practical and symbolic to travel, luggage tags make for good wedding favors. What’s best is that you can easily personalize these luggage tags. You can have your wedding details printed in ordinary or specialty paper and you can insert them in the flap, or if your budget will allow it, have luggage tags embossed with your names.

Hand towels – Another practical wedding favor, you can have the name of your destination or venue on one side and your names or initials embroidered on the other side.

Seashells – They are appropriate not just for beach weddings, but in travel or destination weddings in general. Seashells symbolize vacation or travel, so whether you are traveling to a wedding venue in one state or another, you can give away these cute favors.

Preserved fruit – All destinations take pride in their local delicacies and most of these includes a certain type of preserved fruit (e.g. prunes, mango, strawberries, etc.) Source for these items beforehand, then pre-order and ensure that your items can be delivered on your wedding day. While there can be local delicacies that you find unique, opt for preserved food items as fresh food has a high tendency to spoil. If you will be opting for preserved food items, opt to give preserved fruits as the tendency is that these preserved items are generally sweet, making them appropriate to be given during weddings, compared to preserved meats (e.g. jerky), that can border between unique or silly.

Your guests will feel special as well when they receive wedding favors that they know the couple has exerted effort and time in. Do not forget to make your packaging unique as well. If your destination has special packaging materials (a native type of fiber or bag), you can use them instead of the usual box packaging.
