Still nothing beats a great summer vacation with the one you love. While you get to enjoy each other’s company on a daily basis, going on a vacation is like giving your relationship a treat by spending time together in a another place and doing exciting or new activities.
Here are some ideas that you may want to try next summer.
- Outdoor Sports – Get to know and understand your partner even more through sports and other outdoor, adrenaline-pumping activity. You will be able to see how he is under-pressure, how he supports you, or how competitive he is. There are a lot of outdoor and adventure activities you can do. Remember though that your safety should be the top priority so if you will engage in extreme sport, make sure that both of you know well the safety guidelines.
- Road trip – Going on a road trip this time with your partner will truly be different as you will get to enjoy an experience with them in a different environment. While the sun is out, you can take daytime photos so make sure you have your camera handy with you. Do a little shopping if you get a chance to find a flea market. For cheap finds, buy in bulk and give them to friends as gifts, souvenirs or favors for a summer event such as a summer christening or a summer wedding favor.
- Beach Escapade – Even Hollywood celebrities have this for a favorite summer past time. You don’t need to go to some exotic place to have fun, any beach will do as long as you get to do great activities as well, such as water sports. Or for some, cuddle time, just laying around on the beach, or sinking into a good book. Pack a few goodies and you can have a romantic beach picnic.
- Backpacking tour – Have an out of the country adventure where you get to experience new and exciting things. Get some exercise while exploring unfamiliar places for the first time.
Remember that no matter what activity you choose to do what will make your vacation more special is the how you talk, interact, and treat each other. Make this the perfect opportunity where the two of you can be outside your comfort zone yet still feel comfortable and safe by being with each other.
Every summer or every year that you are together, make sure that every moment counts and that it will lead to a better you and a better relationship. Your time together would mean nothing if it will not change you and your relationship for the better.
